Abstract

The eel fish (Anguilla sp.) Is one of the important fish that migrates from the sea to the fresh environment (anadromous migration) for its maturation and then back to the sea (katadromous mgration), to spawning.  Both migrations are the entire life cycle of eels. Almost at all river estuaries in Indonesia that face the deep sea can be found elver eel.  his study aims to (1) examine the biodiversity of glass eel that performs anadromous ruaya at Palu River estuary, (2) examines the distribution of glass eel that performs anadromous ruaya at Palu estuary, (3) examines the abundance of glass eel that performs anadromous ruaya at river mouth Palu, (4) studied the structure of glass eel size at the estuary of Palu River.  The method used is descriptive method with the hope to reveal the migration of glass eel eel entering the estuary of Palu river. Sampling glass eel by means of catching using catching tools of seser (hand scoop net) 1 mm mesh eye size. Sampling activity is done 3 times a month in every dark month (dark moon) or 28 to 30 month calculation in the sky (Hijri Calendar) starting at 18.00 until 06.00 WITA.  Samples of the captured glass eel are inserted into a container (bucket) containing river water equipped with an aerator, then taken to a live laboratory for identification and measurement of length and weight. Each capture of glass eel sample is measured by tidal, salinity, pH, DO (Disslove Oxygen) and river water temperature
